Drake’s Island in Plymouth Sound is up for sale for £6m.

The island, named after Sir Francis Drake who set sail from Plymouth in 1577 to circumnavigate the globe, has stood virtually untouched for almost 30 years and has planning permission for a luxury hotel and spa complex.

Property consultancy JLL is offering the freehold for sale on behalf of owner Rotolok.
