THE quest for a child inspired a South East Cornwall mum’s weight loss.
Hayley Budge joined Slimming World back in 2009 when she was told she could not have children naturally and she and her husband would need to undertake IVF.
The problem was that to be eligible for a round of IVF she would need to lose weight (amongst other things). Hayley joined her local group in Liskeard - but despite achieving enough weight to qualify for IVF, the treatment failed.
After ‘falling off the Slimming World wagon’ for a while, Hayley decided to start again - and quickly lost more than two stones.
And after going through another round of IVF, Hayley and her husband had their daughter Isabell.
Now she has trained as a consultant for Slimming World, the group-based weight loss organisation, at their national training academy in Derbyshire and is opening her own group in Pensilva at The Millennium Centre on Monday evenings at 7.30pm. The first session took place on New Year’s Day.
