A FAMILY has enlisted the help of Britain’s “real-life Ace Ventura” to help find their missing dachshund.

Daisy went missing from a garden in the Lander Road area of Saltash in April and a £10k reward was put up for information leading to her safe return.

Despite her distraught owners making daily searches, and the story being shared nationwide via social media, there has so far been no trace of the pup.

Now ‘pet detective’ Lisa Dean has been enlisted in the hope of bringing Daisy home, and a large reward is being offered once more to anyone who can provide useful information.

Former pre-school teacher Lisa, who has recently appeared on breakfast TV, has had hundreds of successes in her new career tracking down stolen and missing pets, and will often spend months or even years pursuing a case.

“The family will not give up on Daisy and have launched a stolen dog campaign,” said Lisa.

“A sizeable donation was made when Daisy first went missing and the family are offering a large reward for any information leading to her whereabouts.

“Daisy was hand reared and has remained very small. She has special dietary needs and cannot tolerate ordinary dog food.

“If you know anything at all about Daisy’s whereabouts, you will remain anonymous, and you will receive the reward.”

Daisy is a very distinctive black and tan miniature dachshund, with dapple patches and pale blue/grey eyes.
