A cake was cut at the Liskeard Mount Edgcumbe Hospice shop in Pike Street to mark the shop's birthday. It was opened in l992 and has raised over £250,000 towards the care and comfort provided by the hospice, at St Austell. Sadly the eighth anniversary also saw the departure of Sheila Perratt, one of the original volunteers whose hard work and miles of ironing at the shop has turned unwanted clothes, and bric-a-brac, into vital funds. Melissa Green (assistant to the director) made the presentation to Sheila.
