SUNDAY'S point-to-point fixture at Great Trethew, near Liskeard, is the second to take place at the venue this season – and the eight-race card comes under starters' orders at 1.30 pm.

The course always attracts a large entry, particularly of maiden horses who have yet to win a race – and this weekend's meeting is no exception.

The open maiden – over two miles six furlongs for horses aged four, five, six or seven – has been split into three divisions. In the first division, horses with bits of form this season include Glorious Gin, Quickly Otigmay and Sobre Trevor
