Have you got any curious documents gathering dust in your attic? Or perhaps you have found a weird or wonderful object while out on a walk? If so then the Archives and Cornish Studies Service wants to hear from you.

This year the service is taking part in the national Festival of Archaeology by running a ‘Documents and Finds Roadshow’ at St Thomas’ Church Hall in Launceston on Saturday, July 30 from 11am until 3pm.

The free event gives visitors the opportunity to have any mysterious documents or archaeological finds assessed by experts from Cornwall Record Office and the British Museum’s Portable Antiquities Scheme.

There will be plenty of other activities going on in the area as part of a ‘Medieval Day’ at Launceston Priory to mark the Festival.
