Ealing is one of the great names in the history of British cinema, and the studio site has been in almost continuous use for film-making since 1902. Of course, the heyday of Ealing Studios was during the 1940s and first half of the 1950s when Sir Michael Balcon headed production and for nearly 40 years afterwards the BBC maintained Ealing as a production centre.

Since the BBC vacated the studios earlier this decade there have been difficulties, and when the National Film and Television School acquired them it was hoped that at last the future was secure. Now the NFTS has had to face its own hard realities and sell the site off, perhaps for development.

Forever Ealing will work to see that Ealing lives on, making a special contribution to British cinema in the 21st Century. To do so we appeal for your support.

If you enjoy British Films and do not want to see the further decline in our industry please sign our petition to the Secretary of State to list the site for protection. Forms and campaign information can be obtained from the following address.
