What would make Cornwall a healthy place?

Experts helping to tackle some of the world’s most pressing public health issues hope to work with people in Cornwall as they carry out their research.

The new Wellcome Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health, based at the University of Exeter, brings together historians, literary scholars, social scientists and medical experts who will develop innovative approaches to improving health and well-being.

Members of the public can meet the researchers at a workshop at Truro Community Library on February 12, from 11am to 1pm, followed by lunch. The researchers want to hear what issues matter to people, and to show how people and community organisations can become collaborators and co-creators in their research.

The Centre is funded by the Wellcome Trust, an independent global charitable foundation that supports wide-ranging research in health and biomedicine.
