A HOUESBUILDER in Cornwall has donated facemasks to Treliske Hospital in Truro.
Persimmon Homes has begun an ’orderly closedown’ of its building sites acros the UK, inlcuding those in Cornwall
Staff at the Persimmon office in Launceston have gathered up spare PPE and passed it to the NHS to be used by doctors and nurses.
In addition, Persimmon is directing its ’Community Champions’ funding towards groups that benefit people aged over 70.
It will be giving away two grants of £1000 each month to organisations in each other company’s 32 operating regions.
Adam Church, director in charge of Persimmon Homes Cornwall, said: ’Our NHS is doing a tremendous job in this fight against coronavirus. We all appreciate the work the doctors and nurses are doing to look after people in need and we’re pleased that we can help in this small way. ’
