Confidence in doctors and the cleanliness of Royal Cornwall Hospitals are two of the areas where patients say improvements have been made, according to the latest national inpatient survey results.

More than 1,000 patients were asked for their views on their care from the point of referral or emergency admission, right through to going home.

The vast majority of those responding said they were treated with respect and dignity and were well looked after by hospital staff, recording overall scores of 9.2 and 9 out of 10, respectively.
