A call has gone out for volunteers to help a patient liaison group keep up its good work.

The Tamar Valley Health Patients Participation Group (PPG) was formed to build a strong relationship between the Tamar Valley Health practice, which has surgeries in Callington and Gunnislake, and its patients.

Its purpose is to maintain and improve the quality of care provided and it does this through collecting feedback, monitoring the service and comparing it with other practices in the area, liaising with other patient focused organisations, and making suggestions for changes and improvements.

While all patients registered with Tamar Valley Health are automatically members of the group, the committee is now in need of new members, said a spokesperson.
