Students at Torpoint Community College took part in the school’s second Health and Well-being Day.
The event, which has the aim of promoting healthy eating, healthy minds and healthy bodies, was supported by a range of organisations and speakers.
Students were shown how to create healthy meals and snacks by the college canteen manager, and those studying the BTEC Sport course showcased their work with demonstrations, practical challenges and health consultations.
‘This year’s event was supported by Cornwall Council, Cornwall Healthy Weight, Livewire, Kooth, Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust, Headstart Kernow, YMCA, Cornwall Sports Partnership, Pentreath, Brook, Young People Cornwall and Sainsbury’s, who provided a free late breakfast,’ said a college spokesperson.
‘It was an excellent day and our sincere thanks go to all those who supported it.’
