CHILDREN’S Hospice South West (CHSW) is appealing for runners to take part in the Bath Half Marathon on March 13 in support of their cause.

General entries for this much-loved half marathon sold out in November, but CHSW has a handful of places up for grabs for £35 each.

Kiley Pearce, Events Fundraiser for CHSW, said: “After a turbulent few years, the iconic Bath Half is back in March and believe us when we say it is going to be amazing.

"It is one of our favourite races of the season and as per usual, is a sell out!

"Luckily, we have a small number of charity entries available, and we would like to invite you to join our team and help support families facing the unimaginable.”

The charity cares for children across the South West who have a life-threatening or life-limiting condition and are unlikely to reach adulthood.

It’s three hospices, including Little Harbour in St Austell, provide specialist palliative care, resilience stays, a sibling service for brothers and sisters, emergency support, end of life care and a bereavement service.

CHSW has adapted its care model since the pandemic and provides support at its three hospices as well as in families’ own homes and virtually - via telephone and Zoom.

“Bath Half is a popular course as it is fast and flat and suitable for beginners as well as more regular runners.

"By joining Team CHSW and aiming to raise £185 in sponsorship you will be helping us to continue our vital work making the most of short and precious lives,” added Kiley.
