ANITBODY testing has begin in Cornwall with around 1,000 tests being carried out each day, says chair of NHS Kernow’s governing body Dr Iaian Chorlton.

The tests are being done in co-operation with health agencies in Devon and Somerset.

He said: ’Our labs have started offering antibody testing for health and care staff in the first instance.

’That shows if you have had an infection of covid-19. A positive antibody test does not show that you are immune to covid-19.’

Dr Chorlton said that there was capacity for up to 4,000 tests a day in Devon and Cornwall.
