Plans for a new health facility deemed a 'priority' by the Primary Care Trust (PCT) have been put on hold because of 'financial uncertainty'. The PCT is reviewing options, but said no firm plans could be made because of the current economic climate.

Discussions have been ongoing since new health facilities were put forward as a high priority in 2007 by the Board of NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly.

Health bosses attended a meeting at Torpoint Community Clinic on Wednesday, August 11, organised by the Rame Peninsula Trust, with members and officers of Cornwall Council and Community Health Around Torpoint (CHAT).
