A career-minded Kingsand boy who wants to be an RSPCA inspector when he leaves school will today be given an official thank-you from the organisation.
Not only did 10-year old Harry Taylor, who attends Fourlanesend School on the Rame Peninsula, come up with some money-spinning ideas during the summer , he was able to organise an event which raised a phenomenal £160.
Principal helpers were Harry's brother Jacob and fellow pupil Stacey Livick. Alisa Shepheard, Tanya Stansbury, Charlotte Newcombe, Holly Hurd, Joshua Grahame and Paul and Nichola Livick were also involved.
The RSPCA were so impressed by Harry's enthusiasm that their schools liaison officer for Cornwall Susan Stratton is going to Fourlanesend School today so that Harry can present her with the cheque officially. She will also give two talks about animal welfare.
'Youngsters like him give us great hope for the future of animal welfare.' said Susan.
