TWO new groups are to be launched this month at the Echo Centre for people with learning difficulties in Liskeard. The first group to be introduced will be a disability action group, which aims to give disabled people in Caradon the chance to voice their opinions. The group, which will meet for the first time at 2pm on Monday, hopes to look at issues such as disabled access and facilities in the region. The second group, which will meet on Monday, February 18, at 10.30am, is the Carers Action Forum. The aims of this group are to provide a facility to which carer groups and individuals can feed their concerns and issues to. In turn, the group hopes then to take these issues to higher bodies in order to help resolve them. For more information on either of these groups, contact the Echo Centre on 01579 347836.
