A GREEN fingered group in Liskeard were inspired to make their own version of the Cotehele Christmas garland.
Members of the U3A’s Down to Earth gardening group were sceptical at first when their leader, Ann Robinson, came back from the National Trust’s shop earlier this year with seeds.
But the group was delighted with the outcome of the project - and even more pleased to receive the thumbs up from Cotehele’s head gardener, Dave Bouch.
Staff from Cotehele were very supportive of the project, and invited members to take a look around the cutting garden.
Not wanting the garland to go to waste, Ann contacted Liskeard Community Hospital - and the festive floral display is now hanging in the hospital’s cafe area.
