A GRANT worth £400 was awarded to the Cornwall Air Ambulance at Callington United Sisterhood's rally. The money was given by the National Executive Committee of the brotherhood and sisterhood movement, and was presented to Tristan Henderson by Elsie Hope. The Rev Anne Curnow was in the chair for the rally and the roll call was read by Barbara Paynter. The two lessons were read by Elsie Hope and Doreen Bunkum and the organist was Kenneth Pethick. The speaker was Marguerite Smith of Saltash who spoke on 'Harvest Time.' The collection for the afternoon together with the money raised by the group's harvest festival amounted to £120 for the Macmillan nurses. Meanwhile, a concert for the Cornwall Air Ambulance will be held at Callington Community College tomorrow night. A bill of musicians will take part in the evening and all will be introduced by Radio Cornwall presenter Janet Eathorne.
