A TEAM of friends who’ll be teeing up for the Longest Day Golf Challenge at Lanhydrock tomorrow have already raised more than £3,300 for their local Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tim Powell, Charlie Brown, Ashley Thorp and Chris Arthur (who have the team name Gone Clubbin’) are expecting to walk more than 20 miles around the course as they play 72 holes in one extended session.

Speaking before the event, their captain, Tim Powell said: ‘We’re really excited about taking on this year’s Longest Day Golf Challenge. It’s great to get a group of mates together, play some golf and raise money for Macmillan to help people living with cancer at the same time. I want to thank everyone who has supported us so far and is helping to make it a success.’
