Liskeard and Looe Round Table is raising vital funds for Children's Hospice South West by holding a golf day next Friday at Lanhydrock Golf Club. Organiser Michael Spencer, of Liskeard and Looe Round Table, said: 'Children's Hospice South West was chosen by the national president of the round table and we have chosen to support this worthy charity as well. 'We felt that it was important to choose a local charity, and the Precious Lives Appeal will help many children in Cornwall.' On the day there will be a double tee start at 12.30pm and 2pm, and entries are currently being accepted. The day will consist of a four-ball stableford team competition (best two scores win), and men's and women's individual competitions (maximum handicap allowance – men, 24; women, 36). There will also be prizes given on the day for best team and best individual, such as a round for four people at the Belfry.
