June marks the start of Cornwall Wildlife Trust’s 30 Days Wild campaign.

For a month everyone is being encouraged to take part and for each day of June carry out a ’random act of wildness’.

Organisers say acts could be walking barefoot on the beach, feeding the birds in the park or anything which makes a connection with the natural world.

Last year, thousands of people carried out 1.8 million ’random acts of wildness’ during the national campaign.

Mark Nicholson, chairman of trustees for Cornwall Wildlife, said: ’Contact with nature and – better still – active engagement with it is scientifically proven to be good for people.

’You’ll feel happier and healthier, and you’ll soon see why Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places are well worth protecting.

You have until June 9 to apply for a free 30 Days Wild pack which includes a packet of UK native wildflower seeds, activity sheets, a calendar to record adventures, stickers and a poster. You can also download the phone app.
