More than half of those surveyed in the South West say they think upgrading Britain’s national broadband network should be the highest infrastructure priority for the Government, ahead of a new runway for an airport in the South East of England, HS2 or Hinkley Point C.
A staggering 86% of those surveyed say upgrading broadband should be one of the Government’s top three priorities of all the infrastructure projects tested.
Around 10% of the 75,000 responses sent to Ofcom as part of the campaign to ‘Fix Britain’s Internet’ have come from people living in the South West.
