THERE was an unusual visitor to the Albaston Fete and Vintage Car Rally. Towering several feet over the assembled crowd at the Albaston Millennium Green, the guest of honour – better known as the Calstock Giant – opened the fete to begin the day's activities. Among the attractions were several vintage cars and live music in the afternoon. There was entertainment for the children courtesy of Billy Whizz the magician, while traditional stalls also featured. The tag rugby display, the exciting gun crews and maypole dances provided further entertainment. Several charities and organisations are due to receive donations from the fete organisers.
