Of course Caradon District Council are not collecting and disposing of as much waste each week by prohibiting garden waste from our dustbins but is there any real saving?

If I could be taken as a typical example..... I have purchased a 'Composter' and am composting what I can including household vegetable matter. When this is full and mature heaven knows how I am to dispose of it all on my small garden plot (15'x10').

I am also saving in black plastic bags all non easily composted material. When I have an economic load I shall at my expense take them to Connon Tip, which is more economical than White Caradon Bags @ 50p per time. My bags will be spread in the same place as before. This I must admit constitutes a small overall saving by Caradon District Council... But wait, what about fly tipping which is bound to increase the clearing and expense of which is the responsibility of CDC. Now.... What Saving?

Come on Caradon listen to public demand and go back to the old system which we all prefer and get some praise for a change.
