Liskeard Athletic chairman Dave 'Ticker' Hick has hit out at malicious rumours that have appeared on certain websites regarding the future of first-team managers Leigh Cooper and his assistant Tony Richardson.
'I don't know where they get this garbage from as there is no truth in it whatsoever,' he fumed.
'Leigh and Tony have done a magnificent job in very difficult circumstances and we are now beginning to see the results of their hard work, which we intend to build on next season,' he added.
Hick also revealed that the club had reached a long-term agreement with the pair prior to the start of the season.
'We agreed with Leigh and Tony that it would be a three-year plan at Lux Park and I don't break promises no more than they do. They are both very honourable and hard-working men who have the respect of everyone at the club, and a dressing room atmosphere which is outstanding and has not been enjoyed for a while at Lux Park.
'We are all looking forward to a bright future with Leigh and Tony leading the club forward,' he concluded.
