DOZENS of runners tackled six laps of an Easter course to raise more than £1,700 in support of two athletes who’ll be taking part in the London Marathon.

Oli Jones and Craig Vaughnley will be running in London in aid of the National Autistic Society later this month and for part of their fundraising organised a 5km Easter fun run in Pensilva.

Some 120 adults and children took part and had to complete six laps of the course to finish the 5km.

The event raised £1,712 with help from sponsors DB Fitness, DCS Pest Control, WBM Groundworks, East Cornwall Harriers, Elite Hairdressers and KV Accounting Solutions.

Craig and Oli have already beaten their fundraising target of £1,800, with £2,611 being raised through a series of other events.

The parents at the East Cornwall Harriers Cross Country League presentation night generously donated £105.
