A FUN night out to raise money for the Asian Tsunami Earthquake Appeal is being organised to take place in The Bullers Arms, East Looe, on Monday, January 31, from 8pm. Landlady Paulene Faulkner has arranged a 70s night and is expecting her regulars and other fundraisers to turn up in appropriate gear, meaning flares, medallions, big wigs etc. There will be a forfeit for those who don't arrive in fancy dress! Monday is normally quiz night at The Bullers only this time the questions will all be based on the 70s, so there is time to brush up on the trends and events of the decade. Paulene will even be serving up 70s type food such as cheese and pineapple on sticks, and trendy drinks of the time including Babycham and Pony (the little drink with the big kick!). The Monday night quiz regulars raise money each year for a local charity but a recent meeting decided that all the funds in the pot so far (£1,400) should be for the Tsunami Appeal, and will be a huge boost in advance for the 70s night total.
