EXCITEMENT is mounting over the arrival of the Coca Cola Christmas Truck in Looe on Monday, December 15 – and the town council wants everyone to be aware of arrangements for the day.

Locals are being encouraged to leave their cars at home and take advantage of a hopper bus service which is being put on to get people to and from the harbour.

'We are delighted that the Coca Cola Truck will be coming to the town,' said a spokesperson for the council.

'We are aware that the truck has an enormous following and is the highlight of Christmas for many.'

The Christmas Truck will be parked on Buller Quay car park in East Looe and will be open to the public from midday until approximately 8pm. 

There will be stalls on the car park and Coca Cola are providing a choir and Christmas festivities.

The Lions Club of Looe and Looe Community Academy will be providing a hopper bus service around the town for local residents, to enable them to leave their cars at home.

Out of town car parking has been arranged, with a free shuttle bus service operating continually between car parks and the town between 9am and 9pm.

'We would ask that you all make use of the out of town parking or use public transport where possible,' the council spokesperson continued.

'We hope that all the visitors to Looe will enjoy the Christmas Truck experience and make the most of our lovely town and the shops and restaurants.'

While some of the parking facilities will be free, charges will apply at the Millpool and in Polperro.

West Looe: Polperro Car Park (relevant charges apply); Tencreek; Millpool Car Park (relevant charges apply)
