Luckett seconds made a very good start when their openers put on 95 for the first wicket when Darren Piper was out for 41, including six fours in his innings. Sam Roberts and Robin Gold then put on 77 more runs before Gold was caught for 94, hitting 15 fours and one six.

Ian Roberts' wicket fell just two runs later for 22. This brought in Dave Colwill, who in only 15 scoring shots hit 60 including six fours and four sixes, his last seven scoring shots were 4644666. With the help of Steve Gold (17), Brian Robins (10) and Adrian Robins, Luckett were able to finish on 283-7. The wicket takers for Foxhole were S Bell (1-60), P Lambert (4-78), A Norrish (1-61) and A Gager with 1-21.

In reply, there were useful scores by A Jago (36), A Norrish (13), Sam Hollingworth (27), A Greet snr (26), S Bell (28) and A Greet jnr (no 10) in Foxhole score of 168-8.
