The St Mellion Fossils' annual match against the Greenkeepers was played last Friday.

For the past ten years, the senior members of the club have had a poor record in this friendly encounter.

However, very much against the odds, the veterans' team took the game to the opposition with a narrow win of 3.5-2.5.
