Launceston went in at half-time down by just one goal, and they had, in fact, created quite a bit of pressure but with the results which they required. They eventually fell behind to a Steve Wherry goal.

A second half slide, especially in the last 20 minutes, saw another three goals conceded but without the aid of man of the match, 'keeper Pete West, it could have been more. In the end, Launceston were soundly beaten and they really mist dig deep, take more of their chances and work terribly hard for the remainder of the season. Man of the match was Pete West.
