FOOD and drink producers from across Cornwall will be taking part in the first Looe Festival of Food and Drink later this month.
The free festival is being hosted by Taste South East Cornwall over the weekend of June 23-24 in a marquee at the Millpool. The food featured will range from crab and lobster to venison, wild boar and duck, and on to cheeses, cream, fudge and fruit and vegetables. The drinks will include apple juice, cider, wine and coffee.
Forty-minute chef demonstrations will take place on both the Saturday and the Sunday with chefs from local restaurants using local produce and, where possible, producers' ingredients that are featured in the festival. The chefs due to appear include Nick Barclay, Dominic Sadler, Joe Sardari, Warren Goodridge, Jonno Hancock and Benjamin Palmer. The festival will run from 10am to 6pm each day.
