A SCOTS Pine, which is standing in the way of development and which only had a tree preservation order put on it three months ago, was due to be the subject of an application to have it felled, at yesterday's meeting of Caradon Planning West. However, planning officers were set to advise councillors to refuse the application stating that the tree, situated at Treetops, West Looe Hill, would be a significant loss of an attractive tree and would adversely affect the character of the Looe Conservation Area. There had been three letters of objection from local people and the town council had recommended that the County Forester should be consulted
