The Eden Project will be serving up a feast of music at this year’s World Pasty Championships headlined by Celtic folk-punk giants Black Friday.
The gala celebration of Cornwall’s favourite food returns on Saturday February 29 with the music stage set in the Mediterranean Biome.
Also on the menu are Huw and the Greater Good, an alternative/ indie/ folk group;
Boundless Brothers, a three-piece pop, rock and folk band and Harbottle & Jonas, a husband-and-wife duo.
This will be the ninth World Pasty Championships at Eden. The event sees amateur bakers, companies, professionals and juniors compete in Cornish pasty and non-traditional classes. The championships will be the finale of Cornish Pasty Week, which starts on Sunday, February 23.
The aim of the week is to get as many people as possible involved in pasty-making and to raise awareness of the classic Cornish pasty recipe, which has been given protected status.
