AFTER more than 20 years of delivering post in Torpoint and Wilcove, Patricia Boniface retired this week. Known affectionately to many customers as 'Postie Pat' she has hung up her bag for the last time and is looking forward to enjoying life in retirement. Pat was born in Victoria Street, Torpoint, and, apart from a brief stay in Gibraltar while her husband Norman was stationed there, she has spent all her life in the town. Pat began work for Royal Mail in 1985 and has been one of the longest-serving members of the Torpoint delivery office. Colleagues presented her with gifts and a basket of flowers on her last day. Pat said: 'I will miss the people I work with and the friends I've made while delivering over the years. I won't miss the early starts!' Gary Taylor, delivery office manager, said: 'Pat has been a dependable and reliable member of the delivery office, who will be sorely missed by the rest of her colleagues.'
