ONE of South East Cornwall’s best-known old inns is on the market - for a cool £1.2 million.

The Old Ferry Inn overlooks the busy Bodinnick to Fowey ferry and it has been put on the market with Colliers International.

The former coaching inn has been providing bed and board for travellers on the old London to Penzance road for more than 400 years.

It also overlooks Daphne du Maurier’s old home, Ferryside.

Ed Jefferson, from Colliers, believes there is plenty of scope for taking the business forward at the Old Ferry Inn, which has 12 letting rooms.

The inn is owned and operated by husband and wife teams Pascal and Penny Rivault and David and Amanda Lewis – Pascal and his wife are now looking to down-size, while David and Amanda wish to retire.
