Cornwall Council is asking local families to choose their preferred design for new play equipment in the Latchbrook community in Saltash.

The council is investing £30,000 in two children’s play areas at Gallacher Way and Yellow Tor. 

After consulting local residents about the play areas last summer, the council invited play equipment suppliers to come up with proposals based on the community’s aspirations. 

Three designs have been shortlisted and now families can vote for their first and second choices at www.cornwall.gov.uk/environment-and-planning/parks-and-open-spaces/play-areas/

Voting closes on February 18, and work will begin on installing the equipment from the winning design in May 2018.

Cornwall Councillor for Saltash West Sam Tamlin said: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity to refresh the play equipment at both play areas on Yellow Tor Road.  I hope everyone will vote for the equipment that they think will improve the two play parks the most.’
