WE recently had to call out the fire brigade because our electricity meter caught on fire.

The fire brigade must have been with us within ten minutes, which is no easy feat at 5.30pm. They were brilliant and very professional. The meter burnt out totally.

The fire brigade waited until Western Power Distribution turned up, followed pretty closely by our supplier EDF, which fitted a new meter at 8pm so that we would have power.

This was all within about three hours. We would like to thank the fire brigade and the guys from Western Power and EDF who were all excellent when they needed to be.
