A large audience enjoyed ‘An Evening with Ann Widdecombe’ at St Stephen’s Church, Saltash. The well-known former Conservative MP, author and television celebrity was welcomed by the Rev Patrick Evans, formerly Archdeacon of Canterbury. Miss Widdecombe entertained her audience with an amusing and informative talk on many subjects, including her life as an MP and her appearances in the BBC series, Strictly Come Dancing, and other television programmes, such as living as a Victorian for five days.
