Section A

Fountain Lions continue their winning run with another victory, this time against St Neot A. Market are second after winning against Legion B. London's match against Police A is postponed due to a 'shout' affecting the Police A team.

St Neot and Legion B are now staring relegation in the face with the third relegation place still in the balance.

Fountain Lions went 4-2 up against bottom placed St Neot but still needed to win two of the last three games to record the win. Andy Maslem and Alan Wyatt top scored for the Lions with four. Bob Strang and Mark Pearse won four for St Neot.

Market stormed into a 6-3 lead over Legion B. Legion won the second half 5-4 but to no avail and lost 10-8. Sonia Kelly and Bill Stephens again scored half the games with five, Mark Borlase and Rob Trevarthen won four for the Market. Bob Fricker and Les Dennis, Alan White and John Brice won three each for Legion B.

Highway A won the derby match against the C team 11-7. The C's were 5-4 up but then the A's won seven of the last nine games to complete the win. Peter Anthony and Gerald McDonald won five, Rob Pearson and Sharon Sommers won four for the A team. Sharon Julian and Michelle Wilton top scored for the C with Dave Exall and Bernie Hardy not troubling the scorer.

Dobsons move up to fifth place after winning at home to Con Club. Dobsons stormed into a 7-3 lead but then struggled to a win as Con Club won the second half 6-3. Steve Spearing and Mike Hutchings won five, Eric Andrew and Andy Powell won three for Dobsons. Steve and Gary, Val and Sue Pryor all won three for Con Club.

Wheal Tor leapt up the table with a 10-8 win over fellow strugglers Garrison. Wheal Tor were 8-7 up going into the final round and won four with both other pairs winning three each. John Saunter and Chris Black-Borow, Terry Lobb and Trevor Burton all won three each for Garrison.

Section B

It's all change again at the top of Section B as leaders White Hart A are beaten by the Lord Eliot and White Horse get a point against the Police B to lead on games won. Market are third with games in hand.

White Horse went 5-4 up against Police B but Police reversed the scores in the second half to share the points. Nobby Clark and Steve Hawes won four for the White Horse. Richard Bailey and Ashley Crocker also won four for Police B.

White Hart A came un-stuck against in-form Lord Eliot and lost 11-7. The Eliot went 5-4 up in the first half and then improved in the second half by winning the second half 6-3. Ian Gill and John Bartlett won five, Stu Braidwood and Tris Mutton won four for the Eliot. John Thomas and Taff Lewis won three with both other pairs winning two each for the White Hart A.

Market B are running strongly for promotion after winning 12-6 at home to Legion A. Legion started well by going into a 4-2 lead. Market then won 10 of the next 12 games. John Vine and D Hines won five, Shirley Vine and M Brooks won four for the Market. Derek Charge and Min Prisk top scored for Legion A with three.

White Hart B returned to winning ways with convincing 12-6 win over the Cheesewring. The 'Cheesers' started well by going into a 4-2 lead. The White Hart responded by winning the next nine games and finally running out 12-6 winners. Paul and Lee Gibbs won five, T Pound and N Stewart won four for the White Hart. B Dawn and Kevin Gregory top scored for the Cheesewring with three.

Derby night at the Barley resulted in a resounding 12-6 win for the A team over the B team. The A's went into a 5-1 lead but the B's came back to 5-4 down. The A team then won seven on the last nine games to win comfortably. Lisa Haley and Marion Denning won five, Pete Stewart and Duane Goode won four for the A team. Shane Pollard and Vicky Mayor top scored for the B's with three.
