The Knock-Out Cup Final was played at the British Legion Club on Monday 27th March between the London and Highway C. London won the toss and elected to sit. The games were extremely tight with the scores level at three-all.
London then won four of the next six to go into a 7-5 lead. Highway responded by winning two of the next three to be 8-7 down going into the last round. Highway then won all of the last three games in three very tight matches to win the cup.
Francis Julian and Nigel Williams won five, Bernie Hardy and Dave Exall won four with Michelle and Sharon's one win being crucial. Larry Penter and Dougie Knight won three, Andrew Bunt and Chris Penter also won three with William Taylor and Andrew Tamblyn winning two. Congratulations to both teams for playing an extremely competitive match in a very good spirit.
St Neot A finished the season with a win against Police A. Police were ahead after four rounds 7-5 but St Neot then won all the last six games to record an 11-7 win. Janet Hoskin and S Williams, Bill Miner and Dave Cock all won four with Rob Strang and M Pearse winning three. John Hoar and Paul Mitchell top scored for Police with both other pairs winning two each.
