Fountain Lions lead at the top of Section A is cut to one point as they lose to Highway A and second place Market are held to a draw at Con Club. London move a point closer in third place. St Neot A replace Legion B at the bottom.

Lions were 7-2 down against Highway A but then won only four of the next nine games to finish 12-6 down for only their second defeat of the season. Simon Putt and Ian Wilton won all six with Peter Anthony and Gerald McDonald supporting with four for Highway A. Alan Wyatt and Andy Maslem won three for the Lions.

Market shared the points after a tight game away to Con Club. Steve and Gary Pryor scored most of the points for Con Club winning all six. Sonia Kelly and Bill Stephens won four for the Market.

London were 8-7 down to Highway C but won all the last three games to snatch the points. Dougie Knight and Larry Penter won four for the London with both other pairs winning three each. Francis Julian and Nigel Williams won four for the Highway C.

Dobsons recorded the win of the week with a 15-3 over St Neot A. Dobsons powered into a 10-2 lead after only four rounds. Andy Powell and Ron Hutchings won all six, Vic Bray and Colin Butler won five for Dobsons. All pairs won one each for St Neot A.

Garrison continued to improve with a 10-8 win over Police A. Garrison went 7-2 up but Police came back to 8-7 down going into the last round but only won one game out of the three and so lost the points. John Saunter and Chris Blackborow won four with both other pairs winning three each. John Waters and Graham Walburton, Paul Mitchell and John Hoar all won three for the Police A.

Wheal Tor were level six all against Legion B but then Legion grabbed the vital tenth game to take the points and move off the bottom of the table. Alan White and John Brice won five, Clive Sargent and Trevor Keast won three for Legion B. Tom Bolitho and S Sandercock, Derek Hayward and Colleen Bolitho all won three for Wheal Tor.

White Horse lead Section B by three points from White Hart B after winning their postponed match against Legion C and also coming out on top in their match against Market B. White Hart A are joint second despite having their regular match postponed due to the 'flu.

White Horse won their postponed match 10-8 away to Legion C. White Horse were 9-6 up and seemingly set for a comfortable win but Legion C won two of the last three to narrowly lose. Phil Kurn and George Keast won four for the White Horse. Chrissie Haynes and Brian Crabb also won four for Legion C.

White Horse won 12-6 at home to Market B. Horse stormed into a 10-2 lead after only four rounds but then only won two of the last six games as Market B started a late revival. Bernie Hoskin and R Allen won five, Nobby Clark and Steve Hawes won four for the Horse. John Vine and D Hines won three for the Market.

White Hart B were only 5-4 up away to Barley A but then White Hart won seven of the last nine to win 12-6. Paul and Lee Gibbs won five, Brian Raines and J Bennallick won four for the White Hart A. All pairs won two each for Barley A.

Legion A won 12-6 away to Barley B. Barley won the first three games but then only won three more games. All pairs won four for Legion A. Jamie Sweetlove and Amanda Glenmore top scored for Barley B with three.

Cheesewring were three all after two games but then won only five of the next 12 games to lose 10-8 to Lord Eliot. Ian Gill and Pete Cotterill won five, Stu Braidwood and Tris Mutton won four for the Eliot. Dawn Gregory and Jan Mitchell top scored for Cheesewring with four.
