White Hart A still lead Section B by one point from joint second placed Market B and White Horse. White Hart B are in third place.
White Hart won against Lord Eliot 10-8. White Hart were 5-4 in the first half and repeated the score in the second. D Skeet and I Crocker won four for White Hart A. Stephen Carew and Doug Braidwood won five for the Eliot with Ian Gill and John Bartlett being brushed.
White Horse played their postponed match against Police B and won 15-3. George Keast and Phil Kurn won all six, Bernie Hoskin and R Allen won five for White Horse. All pairs won three for the Barley B.
Legion A won their postponed match against Barley A. Barley started strongly winning four of the first six games but then Legion A won nine of the last 12 games to take the points. Queenie Charge and Allan Randall won all six, Mark Collins and Colin Penwarden won three for Legion A.
Police B drew with Cheesewring. Police B were 7-5 up and looking for the win but Cheesewring then won four of the last six to force the draw. Richard Bailey and Paul Devenish won five for the Police. Dawn Gregory and Jan Mitchell won four for Cheesewring.
Fountain needed to come from behind to get the draw against White Hart B by winning two of the last three games. Chris Hocking and Fred Markham, G Pengelly and Lee Prout all won four for the Fountain. T Pound and R Gillbard won four, Brian Raines and J Bennallick won three for the White Hart.

Monday 3rd April - End of season tournament at Lord Eliot, 8pm prompt start. Friday 14th April - Presentation night at Fountain Hotel, Pairs Knock-out competition. One pair from each league team followed by presentation of trophies. 7.30 start.
Looe and District League play the chairman's cup competition at the Social Club on Monday next (January 10) starting 8.00 pm.
