VISITORS are being invited to discover the season's beauty with Boconnoc’s Autumn Walks on Sunday, November 1, from 10am to 4pm.

Offering a rare chance to explore parts of the historic estate not usually open to the public, the event promises a day of peaceful garden strolls, ancient woodland adventures, and sweeping parkland views, with routes for everyone, from families with young children to enthusiastic walkers and their four-legged companions.

Autumn at Boconnoc is about much more than the changing colours of the trees. Across the estate's ancient woodlands and parkland, nature is quietly preparing for the colder months ahead.

Fallen leaves create a protective blanket for insects and small creatures, fungi return vital nutrients to the woodland floor, and wildlife makes the most of the season's final berries and acorns. Meanwhile, Boconnoc's veteran trees conserve their energy, protecting the tiny buds that will bring new life in spring.

Visitors are invited to slow down, look a little closer and discover this fascinating, often overlooked side of the season while enjoying the estate's natural surroundings.

With complimentary maps and clearly marked routes, visitors can explore Boconnoc at their own pace, choosing anything from a gentle garden wander to a longer walk of up to 3.8 miles.

The estate's ancient woodland, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, is home to towering oaks, veteran beeches and magnificent chestnut trees, some of which have stood for hundreds of years.

Elsewhere, winding paths lead through the gardens, Pinetum and Shrubbery, towards Boconnoc Lake and across the estate's expansive parkland.

Along the way, walkers can discover intriguing reminders of Boconnoc's rich history, including the Georgian Bath House, ancient Cornish crosses and the estate's striking Obelisk.
