Next week a John Deere lawn tractor (ride on lawn mower) will be driven all 874 miles from John O’Groats to Lands End.

The challenge is being taken on by Andy Maxfield, a prison officer and lawn mower enthusiast, to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society and break a Guinness world record.

He’s due to arrive in the South West on Saturday, July 29 when John Deere dealer for Somerset, Devon and Cornwall Masons Kings will be providing support.
