Despite a sudden U-turn by Cornwall Council, emotions ran high at a meeting to discuss the future of a day care centre for adults with learning disabilities.
Parents and carers of service users who go to Morley Tamblyn Lodge (MTL), Liskeard – which is one of three such centres facing closure under council plans – went to the meeting in force to continue their battle to keep the centre open.
Attended by parents, carers, Cornwall councillors, council officers and doctors, there were nearly 100 people at the meeting at MTL.
