Children all around South East Cornwall have joined in the fun of World Book Day by coming to school dressed as their favourite characters.

Wizards, warriors and superheroes were among the cast coming off the pages and into real life for these pupils at St Neot Primary School.

Many schools hand out vouchers for their children to exchange for special World Book Day publications at bookshops.

And schools in the district are also taking part in the ’Share a Story’ campaign, whose aim is to get children sharing stories with each other, with their parents, grandparents or siblings, and trying out new genres of reading.
