City College Plymouth’s Regional Centre of Excellence for STEM  has been officially opened with a tour and ribbon cutting ceremony. 

The £13million state-of-the-art facility, which has been shortlisted for the Best New Building at this year’s Abercrombie Awards, provides workshops, science and sport laboratories and media studios.

Managers say it is equipped with high-tech resources to support a broader and more relevant STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) curriculum.
