A STAGE production of Alice in Wonderland could well be the start of a lasting partnership between a school and a centre for adults with learning disabilities.

Morley Tamblyn Lodge joined forces with Liskeard School and Community College to put on the musical performance.

Year 10 Vocational Studies students helped things to run smoothly by taking some of the acting roles, helping with props, music and lighting, producing the programme and assisting the caretakers with the car parking.

Assistant headteacher Roger Quaintance said: ‘Both Jackie Blank, team leader at Morley Tamblyn Lodge, and myself were overwhelmed by the process of using drama to bring two communities together in such a positive way.

‘The opportunity to work with such a motivated group of students is invaluable and has proved to be a fun and rewarding experience. We are looking forward to continuing this in the future.’
